Tell me more. I saw it on sale at Best Buy. I think there's a bit of influence from the designs for Guyver.

The synopsis on the website is pretty accurate. It's superficially similar to Guyver in the sense that it involves a suit of armor that transforms its wearer, granting it superhuman abilities.

The premise is very different. Guyver is based off pseudo-science while Karas is based off pseudo-spiritual technomagic. The premise of Karas is that he is a "spiritual guardian" of sorts of a City populated by both humans and spirits.

The capabilities of the two are also very different. For one, giant laser beams are passe, but great big slashing katanas are in, and Karas reflects this change. Also, there's some element of Robotech-type transformations in Karas as well.

I've read some Guyver comics and watched the really bad real life Guyver movie. I like it, but can't call myself a fan mostly for the limited amount of material I've read.
