I wonder about the numbers of the Armenian community here.

Are they Eastern Orthodox?

What of the Armenian Church in Hill Street? Are services still held there?

And F.J. Benjamin? Are they Jewish? Armenian? Anyone?  Cool

I believe Armenians aren't originally Eastern Orthodox.

Perhaps they were Nestorian Christians, just like some of Genghis Khan's army (and Ogodai Khan's Wife).

Let me go check up on the Nestorian church and what happened to them...

Yes, you are right.

Weren't the Nestorians declared a heresy eventually?

My mistake. The Armenian Church has got really not much to do with Nestorians.

It was said to be founded by two of Jesus' twelve apostles--Thaddaeus and Bartholomew. There are also several Armenian churches and I must say this topic is thus entirely out of my league.

To answer to your question, yes, the Nestorians were indeed declared heretics, or rather, they were at  condemned at the Council of Ephesus in 431. The conflict over the Nestorian view of the divinity of Jesus led to the Nestorian schism, separating the Assyrian Church of the East from the Byzantine Church.
