Title: X-Men III
Post by: dapengmingwang on May 25, 2006, 09:35:30 AM
Any feedbacks?

A friend of mine said the storyline sucks and if you have watched the last two then just watch this to round up the story. Any 'second opinion'?

I think if you compared with X1 & X2, X3 storyline wise isn't nice and lame to certain point. Perhaps there are just too many characters to focus on that they had to kill a few off.

I've heard many terrible things about this movie, enough
that I've decided to save my $7.50

In fact, I don't think I'm going to bother downloading this even :P

No intentions nor plans to watch it. But, Superman Returns, yes.

Anthony (if you are reading this), I will be back in Spore by 3rd week of June. You interested in catching Supes together if you are also back?

Got this off another forum:

Quote
its a real BIG disppointment as the director is changed from the previous 2, where bryan singer went to direct superman returns, x men 3 is changed to rush hour director. To me i find that this new director doesnt read x men comics before...he basically changed n gives a big cutaway in the movie. Why do i say cutaway? He "cuts" away main mutants like mystique, cyclops, prof x, magneto, jean....and comes up with many other lame mutants....hahahah....sorry for ranting but maybe cus im a Marvel fan.

Quote
ok, i find that this movie doesnt have much of a story line. The mutants just fight for freedom, thats all. In the first movie, the director cleverly makes us think that magneto wanted to capture wolverine but, actually his motive is rouge. It appears that he is after wolverine is because rougue is with him. Im ok with the first movie. what i like in the trilogy is the 2nd movie, where again the director uses and illusionist to trap the powerful pychic prof x. They fight wif wisdom, smart smart, haha...but the 3rd one, they just fight n fight n fight. Brawns n more brawns.

tts y i say the 3rd one is not worth watching...........cus when **EDIT** turns human at the begining, i sian alr...followed by **EDIT** death...

:'(  Shit. I have ALREADY booked tickets.

Won't be able to. I'm stuck in Berkeley for at least 2 more months to study for and take my California bar exam. Don't know when I'll be back in Singapore even. Thanks for the offer though.

for me, i really didn't like Xmen not because he conveniently chop 3 characters off the chart. but more of the storyline. and the so call 'bird'man whose only appearances is to show off his body and flying skills. and the so called army magneto has are all the bengs and lians. there are just too many lame characters around.

They are pawns. And typically, even in gangster movies, it's the beng-lians that die first before they even get to the high level of the gang. :P

Here's another SPOILER:

When Magneto was moving the bridge, it was DAY TIME. Once the bridge landed on Alcatraz, it's suddenly night. I never realised that there's any part on this planet that turns so rapidly from day to night.  ;D

Because they want to show off their powers mah. To be frank, if they hijacked a boat people will wonder why they didn't do something more dramatic.

Anyway, for those who missed that last bit after the credits, this is it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nb9NFkhqoTI). <- * click *
